Hey :)

Im planning on travelling between Belgrade and Dubrovnik in September, and so far have found that the bus would probably be the best option. But despite lots of internet work, I cant seem to find out very much about it! Does anyone have any information at all? I'd really appreciate any info about the rough timetable/length of trip/cost of the trip/where you can buy tickets from-if thats possible!

Thanks, Heather

Direct flights are planned from Belgrade to Dubrovnik this summer, twice a week.
Best regards,
Andro

There are very few, if any, through buses, and If theyrun-that would be not daily and summertime only.
Google for BAS =Beograd Autobus Station, and check if times are on now.
or find links via busstation.net
As about anywhere in this world (and to the utter surprise of many unused to it) one can often go long distance by changing-once or twice or even more. Now look at a decent map, decide which other spots you might want to visit and see if there are roads-if there is a main road, there WILL be a busservice. Also buses tend to avoid going much about borders-they are far more frequent inside countries.
so you basically you have 2 options:
1.via Sarajevio-a visit-worthy town in its own right. About hourly from BG, and 2/3 day direct from SJ->Dub.
2.train, or bus, to coast from BG=Cerna Gora (means black mountains, or monte negro in italian), then a bus along the very scenic coast. As you pass the border into Hrvatska=Croatia, only a very few, from KOTOR. Google for libertasdubrovnik for the buses in that region.
Whatever route-it is very slow and mostly delayed even on top of that.
