Hi
I was wondering if you could recommend accomodation to stay in around lake balaton. I will be travelling there in august.What would be the best town to stay in for beaches, Thermal spa's etc. I was looking at Kezsthely but not really sure.

We stayed in Hullam hostel, in Revuflon. It was pretty good but we were only there for a couple of days so not sure whether it was the best for the beaches etc

I looked at that hostel, I read on the net that siofok might be a better area of lake balaton for beaches,tourists etc. Seems to be more in the way of accommodation too so I think I might keep looking in that direction, it's also on route to Budapest which is the next step for the music festival in august

There is a railway going around the whole lake and stopping in nearly every village. Frequent service. So it doesn't really matters on where you stay concerning the subject on how to get there.
I stayed in Zanka. There is a kind f international youth camp...
