Hi guys

I'm currently planning my second interrail trip for the summer this year and i'd like to know what do you think about this route and if there are any changes i should make to it.

My idea will be to fly over to either Warsaw or Berlin and start from there.

I was thinking about Warsaw - Krakow - Wien - Bucharest and transilvania - Budapest - Zagreb - Dubrovnik - Kotor - Macedonia somewhere ( maybe Ohrid) - Athens - Thessaloniki - Istanbul and then fly home.

I expect to do this in a 3 week pass. Should be more than enough considering the pass won't be used on the first and last cities. However i'm having trouble with the whole Balcan region since train information of that region isn't easy to find. How should i make the trip from Kotor to Greece? And what should i see along the way? I read that Ohrid is very stuning so i included it on the list so far...

Hoping to hear some tips from you guys soon

Kotor to Greece is tricky by train, the most interesting thing (in my opinion) would be to cross Albania to Ohrid and then travel on down through Macedonia to Greece. Note there are no international greek trains at the moment so this would all have to be done by bus/dolmus

Hi.

Thanks for the tip. I've also seen that at least mapwise it's possible to do Kosovo and then Macedonia. Which do you think is more worth it? Kosovo or Albania?

I'm not sure - though you have to be pretty careful passport wise going through Kosovo - it's possible you'll never get a Serbian exit stamp if you leave through the Macedonian border, and then they might not let you back in. The situation is always changing so best to check nearer the time
