I'm heading to Eastern Europe in May for a Months solo InterRailing, first time doing it !

I start in Prague, and the plan is to go straight down to Montenegro... the route I have looked at involved, night train from Prague to Budapest, Morning train from Budapest to Belgrade, then night train from Belgrade to Bar.... I usually have a good 4-5 hours or so between trains, but will this be enough time to reserve a seat (especially on the night trains). It's not a problem to stay overnight in hostels but ideally i'de like to get down there as soon as possible. I've read online about having to reserve a week in advance on some trains ?!

I will have a monthly Global Pass if this makes a difference ?

Many thanks :)

Hi.
In Eastern European night trains it is usually much easier to get a reservation for a night train only a day in advance. In your case you should be able to get all reservations you need already in Prague main station.

Thanks for the fast reply Peter ! I should have mentioned that I arrive in Prague on the 12th May about 5.30 in the evening, so I imagine I will be getting to the train station about an hour later, would this be enough notice for booking a couchette for the 11pm night train that evening ? Or at worst just a normal seat.. Many thanks !

Yes it will - usually you can book the ticket as well directly at the train, but I recommend you the ticket window at the train station. It is open at least until 2200h in the evening.
