Kan iemand mij aangeven waar ik de Zwitserse panoramic car treinreizen vanaf Keulen naar Mainz kan vinden? En hoe kan ik plaatsen reserveren aan de linkerkant van het panorama treinstel? Mer de NS en DB apps lukt het me niet. Ik wil deze reis 21/4/2023 maken en neem dan eerst de ICE trein vanuit Amsterdam via Utrecht naar Keulen. Alvast dank voor de hulp!

Betreft EC 9 vanaf Köln 10:53. Je kunt op www.bahn.de/nl reserveren. Je kunt een zitplaats reserveren, maar niet een bepaalde kant. De panoranawagon is 263 (1e klas). De lorelei ligt op kilometer 555 (staan op witte bordjes aan de bovenkant)

PS: bovenkant moet zijn overkant. Als je de rijrichting weet kun je wel een bepaalde kant reserveren, maar ik weet de rijrichting niet.

Please note that all german Regional and long distance-train are cancelled , that is because the Warn-Strike at DB . The following consequence is that you HAVE to choose another Travel-Day (Maybe at Saturday ?) . At 22.04 the train runs for normal conditions , but there are only 2-seats free at the panorama-Car (263) , so be quick with your Reservation . Best regards !

Unfortunately also your train is cancelled , when you not choose a other travel-date , you can use direct RB26 (RB26 25419) , wich is operated by Mittelrheinbahn . The Line runs every hour '56 . Best regards !

The strike is only at the morning , so the first lomg-distance train after that is ICE 229 , departure at Cologne 13:53 , travel time is the same as the EC . Arrival in Mainz is 15:39 . I dont know your backward route but from Mainz the first normal connection is 15:59 with RE3 to Frankfurt am Main Regionalbahnhof and from there ICE 152 .

Dear Argon, I am going to try to take a train to Cologne tomorrow afternoon and stay the night there in a hotel. The reservation for EC 9 from Cologne to Mainz has been changed to Saturday. The return to Amsterdam is changed to Monday. Thanks for your assistance!
