Hi!:)
I´m just wondering about how crowdy it is in europe during july/august?
I know it is the time when most people have their vacations, but I don´t have the opportunity to travel during the other months.
I am going to travel alone and it is my first interrail, so do I have to booke the hostels before I arrive during these months? How possible is it that I have to sleep outdoor if I just show up on a hostel? :| And will the trains be full as well? I don´t want to be stucked in a train station with nowhere to go... (By the way, I´m planning to do a round-trip, so I´m just wondering how it is in europe generally...) Sorry if my english is crappy, but I´m trying to practise ;)

Go as early as you possibly can.....

It depends where you go, as well.
Last summer, I did Zagreb - Ljubljana - Budapest - Vienna - Bratislava - Prague - Warsaw - Vilnius - Riga - Tallinn - Helsinki - Stockholm - Oslo.
The busy cities were:
Prague; many tourists from all parts of the world
Vienna; as Prague
Tallinn; LOADS of walking tours from cruise ships
Stockholm; I didn't realise I arrived on the last day of Stockholm Pride...!!!
Budapest; as Prague and Vienna, but not as bad
Bratislava; quite a lot of British tourists on drinking holidays
Riga; as Budapest
Quiet cities were:
Zagreb; nothing too exciting...
Ljubljana; more people are probably at Bled
Warsaw; didn't really see any tourists
Vilnius; I was able to check into my hostel at 7am...that says a lot!
Helsinki; not too many tourists
Oslo; busier than expected but still quiet in comparison to other cities
It's all a matter of timing, e.g. festivals, events etc.

IB? How possible is it that I have to sleep outdoor if I just show up on a hostel? :|

@A: this varies an enormous lot, Europe is far too big for a general descpition-you'l discover
B.think logic-look at those bookingssites-check how many hostels there are-check how ''full'' they seem a few days before. Most of the popular cities have loads of hostels. So prepare yourself for that.
C.Most trains are just like the London tube: there are NO reservations-if al seats are taken-you stand (and in about no train anyone goes to the far end-at most stops people get on-and also off. Not that much different form about any train in any countr.
Trains are not planes!
