wow.. while trying to search recent infos on the route i just found out that there is a new site with all routes, that shows available seats and there is a web ticket.. [ux]https://rail.shop/ose[/ux]

so there are still normal trains, IC and ICE trains for this route and the cost is

first / second class
Normal train 37.7 / 28.1
IC 64.7 / 48.4
ICE 51.5 / 36.3

Peter knows about it but i guess for normal train would be free or cheaper and for IC and ICE you should pay supplements which should be the difference in price of normal trains.

Mmmh... I have no detailed information about the InterRail supplement you will have to pay.
It always depends on the length you travel (kilometers) and is payable like baobab said for IC and ICE trains.

Hi!

I'm trying to figure out the schedules in the pdf posted above by Flo.
My question is that I have to play supplements for the Inter-City trains only?
For example: there is an overnight train between Thessaloniki and Athens, departing at 23:00 and arriving at 5:01 (second page, train number 501). It has no ICity sign or anything, that means it's supplement-free?

Thanks!

Hi,

as far as I know supplements/reservation are only needed for IC. But I think a reservation is advisable anyway as there are fewer trains operating which are likely to be full as far as I have heard.
