Hi,

I'm thinking about doing a interRail this summer. We are a group of 5, with 17years and with 22days pass. i have done some research, and have already got the route in mind, but I still have some doubts.

( LISBOA - PARIS - BRUXELLES - AMSTERDAM - HAMBURG - BERLIN - PRAGA - VIENA VENEZA - FLORENÇA - ROMA - MILAN - MARSEILLE - BARCELONA - LISBON )

some of the doubts that I would like to see clarified:

1-Any problem with our age?
2-which trains it is necessary to make reservations?
3-the 22 days are sufficient for the proposed cities?
4-Where can I find a map of the dorms that belong to InterRail?
5- Two types of fares are available:
Pass 1 (P1): for holders of InteRail passes covering the whole journey
Pass 2 (P2): for holders of InterRail passes partially covering the journey
What is the difference?

Looking forward your help.
Thanks

Hi.

1) Some hostels only accept groups with at least one adult which is responsible for the minors. So one of your friends should be at least 18 years old.

2) Check the country topics, nearly all connections are listed there with details and how to avoid supplements:
https://rail.cc/en/countries

In general:
Use the schedule planer: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
Compare it to the supplements: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation

Examples...
Lisbon-Paris: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/lisbon-hendaye-th-310/74
Paris-Brussels: https://rail.cc/en/paris-brussels-bruxelles-train/f3992
Brussels-Amsterdam: https://rail.cc/en/brussels-bruxelles-amsterdam-train/f3994
Amsterdam-Berlin: https://rail.cc/en/amsterdam-berlin-train/f2346
Berlin-Prague: https://rail.cc/en/berlin-prague-train/f3361
and so on ... :)

3) It is a big trip - but possible. Decide spontaneous to skip maybe one of the cities.

4) Do you mean places to sleep ? [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux] is a good website. InterRail is only a rail ticket - it is NOT an all inclusive holiday!

5) You are talking about the THALYS train between France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Traveling with a 22-days InterRail Global Pass, for you the Pass 1 is the important one.
But you will find as well connections WITHOUT any supplements! Just read the country topics!

Peter :)
