Hi!
Next month I am planning to travel 10 days around Scandinavia and Benelux. It might sound from a start like too ambitious plan - in 10 day to see all that, but I will here write my plan or better sketch of a plan to ask You for opinion. Please, tell me if there is a better routes. Countries that I really want to visit are: Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and Amsterdam, and my trip begins from Vienna. I am not planning to stay (obviously :) more then a one day in every country, and I would mainly travel by night. I thought to stay and sleep in Amsterdam, Brussels and Helsinki ...
So here is my idea, I made it according to Your forum, so I read it very carefully, but maybe I dropped something and there are better solutions:
Vienna - Berlin (without staying in Berlin more then I need to catch a train to Copenhagen), Berlin - Copenhagen;
Copenhagen - Stockholm;
Stockholm - Turku (I thought maybe a few hours in Turku, not more...)
Turku - Helsinki (how much is for ferry cabin during winter?)
and then goal is to get to Amsterdam from Helsinki. So...
Helsinki - Turku, Turku - Stockholm, Stockholm - Copenhagen, Copenhagen - Amsterdam (I would without stopping (of course, only if I have to) travel straight to Amsterdam, so PLEASE, if there is a better (and cheap) way to get there, I would be grateful to be informed!)
Amsterdam - Brussels;
after this I was thinking to get train: Brussels via Luxemburg, Strasbourg, Basel to Zurich. But I would like to get out in Luxemburg for a while, and then to catch a next train, so it would go like this:
Brussels - Luxemburg;
Luxemburg via Strasbourg, Basel - Zurich
Zurich - Vienna (finally!)
Please, tell me if this sounds too crazy! A little bit crazy is ok, but not too much :D
And of course, I am very willing to hear suggestions!
Another important thing is that I am trying to avoid supplements and additional costs, and planning mainly to purchase a cheapest sits in trains. I have been searching for costs information of all destinations on this forum, and I founded everything, but I am not sure is that still valid or there are some changes, so please send me some updates if there's any!
Thank You!!!
P.S. - I found Your forum and all web site very very very good and cool!!! ;)
