Hi,
Is there a train connection Basel - Vienna, or is there some other way to get from there to Vienna? Also, if there is something from Luxembourg to Vienna ... ...

There is no direct connection anymore but there are several direct trains from Zürich:
Zürich dep 0840 | 1040 | 1440 | 1640
Wien arr 1644 | 1844 | 2244 | 0044
From Basel you have frequent connections to Zürich, for the departures at xx40 in Zürich I would recommend to leave Basel at 0733 | 0933 | 1333 | 1533. No reservation required for those connections.

Luxembourg - Vienna:
Luxembourg 0822 - 1035 Koblenz
Koblenz 1048 - 1926 Wien
