Hi,
this is my first interrail trip and I really don't understand this thing about travel days.
If I buy a month continuous global pass, do I get unlimited travel on any train (reserving high speed and international trains beforehand) for a month?
I also have a question about ferries; if it is 'free' do I still have to pay the surcharges etc. and if I get a month continuous pass, do I also get unlimited travel on ferries (paying if only a discount is available of course)

Help!
Cheers in advance :D

Hi!

If you have a one month continuous pass you dont have to worry about travel days - unlimited travel on all trains of the particitpating railways for one month (ie 14th jan - 13th feb). Same applies to the ferries which are included or grant a special tariff for InterRailers. On certain ferries a tax port/fuel surcharge will apply that has to be paid seperately.
