Hello everyone :) I am just new to this forum so i hope i am posting in the right place - please excuse me if not!
This summer I intend to go on a mini tour all over Spain...and only Spain! I'd like to go for a month and visit all the main places and any other interesting destinations in between but I am totally clueless as to which route to take, which cities are good at what time ( i am thinking of beginning my journey mid july,as i will be attending benicassim festival and that ends on july 17th!) or even indeed where to make a priority/ avoid!
I am only in the very early stages of planning so just wanted to see if anyone out there had any tips for my Spanish Adventure :)
Any info would be appreciated....ive never been to spain (im from the uk) and want to make the most of my month!
Hope to have some replies soon :) Thanks for reading!

Hi there.
good choice. spain is a beautiful country. in fact, one of my favourites within Europe.
I have only been to Barcelona, Mallorca and somewhere else when I was younger though. However, I also want to do an interrailtrip in spain within the next years.
I'll probably do this trip:
Barcelona, Valencia, Madrid, sevilla (maybe to far in the south), Bilbao, san sebastian, pamplona, zaragoza
hope this will give you an idea..
cheers

Hi!
I would say the obvious places to go would be
- Barcelona
- Madrid
- Sevilla
- Cordoba
- Granada
- Valencia
- Bilbao
- Santiago
- ...
Then I would definitely recommend going along the northern coast with the narrow gauge railway FEVE from Bilbao to Ferrol.
Have a look here at the map of the railway network in Spain so you can plan a little: http://www.bueker.net/trainspotting/map.php?file=maps/iberian-peninsula/iberian-peninsula.gif
For the longer distance trips I would recommend to go with the InterRail One Country Pass for Spain with 8 travel days in a month. For shorter distances (ie Sevilla - Cordoba and shorter) I would stick with tickets bought in Spain in your case.
Watch out since almost all long distance trains require a reservation, have a look here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/spain/es
