Amsterdam - Bern - Milano - Venice - Rimini - Roma - Bari - patras - athene - thessaloniki - sofia - plovdiv - burgas - bucarest - budapest - wien - prague - berlin.

This might seems a little over ambitious, but we like to travel a lot. However, its our first interrail trip. I hope someone can help me making a schedule or something and can give me some tips to avoid expensive suplements or tips about the trip itself stated above. (Is it possible or not). We planned to buy a 22 days global pass.

Thnx

Hi Paul.

It is definitely a big trip for 22 days - in my eyes a bit too much - you will travel every day.
Take care about the situation is Greece: https://rail.cc/en/greece-train-strike/f4477

Important for you to read is the step by step guide: https://rail.cc/en/first-interrail-tour/f3303

The link to the schedule planer explains how to avoid supplements: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route

Most connections are listed at the country topics and will show you details about supplements: https://rail.cc/en/countries

Amsterdam - Bern: is free if you avoid THALYS trains.
For example first Amsterdam - Brussels: https://rail.cc/en/amsterdam-brussels-train-thalys/f3991
Then Brussels - Switzerland: https://rail.cc/en/brussels-luxembourg-strasbourg-basel-zurich-train/f2915

EC trains crossing the border to Italy usually have a supplement of EUR 5.

In Italy avoid the Eurostar Italia trains, use free Regional trains or IC trains - IC trains are free, but a reservation is recommended for EUR 3.

Italy - Greece: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-ferry/italy/it

For Greece pay attention to the information I gave you above.

The rest at the country topics...
