19 year old boy going interrailing for the first time this july/august on a one month global pass, going with girlfriend.
hopefully travelling through Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Venice, Prague, Berlin and Amsterdam. Prefferably that route but welcome to suggestions, also do you think that would be possible?
ideally I would be travelling on slower trains but taking ferry from Barcelone to Rome. Staying in hostels and eating low budget foods, but will be taking a few tours at landmarks historical arcitecture etc.
Any ideas on what the overall costs or daily costs of that trip would be?
Thanks. :D

Hi!
Ticket: 400€
Additional reservations (high-speed trains, night trains): 30-50€ this is a rough estimate that varies depending on using what kind of accomodation on night trains, use of high speed trains...can be kept lower when avoiding trains which require a reservation
Ferry BCN - Civitavecchia: ~50€, InterRail discount 20%
Hostels: calculate between 15-25€ in the cities you are going to per night and person in dorms - privates start at ~25€ :arr: check at hostelworld.com
Food, attractions etc: Depending on how much you are willing to spend you can calculate around 10-25€ per day
That totals at around 1500€ per person for one month.
For suggestions on the route please make a new post in the travel routes board as described here: https://rail.cc/en/please-read-first-how-to-post-a-travel-route-topic/f5206 :)

I'd say that's about right. When you're not very picky about which hostel you sleep in, you can get a down to 1200 I think. Prague for example is VERY cheap, hostels as well as cost of living. I've spent 14 euros/night for a private there and lived for about €15/day.
The route is interesting. I recommend checking bahn for connections within Europe. I know from experience that Rome <-> Venice and Prague > Berlin > Amsterdam are great connections with direct trains going between these cities at a regular interval. For the other connections you'll probably need to transfer.

Beside the costs here the links you need...
Paris-Barcelona:
Day train: https://rail.cc/en/paris-barcelona-day-train/f5505
Expensive night train: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/france/fr
Cheap over night travel through the Pyrenees (what I definitely recommend!): https://rail.cc/en/paris-pyrenees-barcelona-le-petit-tain-jaune/f4023
Barcelona-Rome: either via Nice (see topics Spain + France) or by ferry like Flow gave you already the details:
https://rail.cc/en/barcelona-rome-ferry/f5582
Rome-Venice: avoid the Eurostar Italia trains (supplement EUR 10), use IC trains (free of supplement - reservation recommended EUR 3)
Venice-Prague:
for example by night train to Munich: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/venice-munich-cnl40236/36
