Paris - Amsterdam - (some nice places you suggest) - Valencia

What do you guys think ? suggested places ?

I will be travelling for a month on an interrail pass. Dont mind spending a little extra money for a nice city.
Any suggestion? Thanks

On your way down to Spain add the Petit Train Jaune:

If you're coming from the UK, you might consider starting with the Harwich - Hook van Holland ferry and then go to Amsterdam first. Then Antwerpen - Brugge - Paris. In France you could first go to Lyon, then cross-country to Bordeaux and to Arcachon for the Dune de Pyla. Then eastwards to Carcassonne following by the Petit Train Jaune - I would recommend going in the direction Latour - Perpignan as you can the proceed to Spain along the coast and make a stop at Girona.
Then Barcelona and down along the coast to Valencia. I'm not really familiar with this area but I think you will find some nice places worth seeing.

oooh i like this suggestion, problem is I have a friend in portsmouth who id like to do and see so my route has changed a little, i dont think you can get a ferry to amsterdam from portsmouth so that kind of knocks that out of the equation. i think im going to go with the flow, pick a place and go there type thing. spontaneity is fun right ?! so long as i visit amsterdam (on my bucket list) and valencia (where a good friend is) i really dont mind where i go.
i just want to have fun and meet some people. maybe (if im very lucky) i might even learn something haha
