Continued: Bern-Lauterbrunnen-Paris-Amsterdam

I'm planning an InterRail trip with a group of my friends this summer. We're thinking of getting a 22-day continuous global pass, with getting flights to Stockholm from London (with our free air miles) and getting the Hook of Holland-Harwich ferry back.

For the pass we're getting, is the trip too long, should we cut some down?
We're still not sure about starting in Sweden, as obviously it would take out a large chunk of our time, but have heard it's a beautiful route?
Our other option is starting in Amsterdam and ending in Paris. :)

Hi Rosela.
It is a big tour for 22 days - but it is definitely possible. :)

I recommend you to fly to Stockholm, stay there for 2 or 3 nights and then start interrailing, then you even saved some of your travel days.

Most of the connections are explained in the country topics - I am sure you already saw them: https://rail.cc/en/countries

Concerning the trip Malmö-Berlin, think about using the direct night train. The train will use a ferry and you can leave it and enjoy the sea on deck:

If you have more time for Sweden, it is definitely worth... for example using the Inlandsbanan... but calculate at least 3 travel days for it and coming back down to Stockholm: https://rail.cc/en/inlandsbanan/f1333

Peter :)

Hi, we were definitely thinking of using the Berlin night train. Thanks for the advice on Sweden!
