Me and my family are moving to Montenegro and we will sail to Barcelona.
we want to travel by train to Bar.
is this possible and what routes do i need to use. we are planning on buying a Eurorail pass once we arrive.

The question confused me for a while, but I think I've got it. You arrive Barcelona by sea then want to reach Bar by train and then you will live in Montenegro. Eurail passes are only available to residents of countries outside of Europe and rarely sold in Europe, the Spanish railways website suggests that it cannot be bought in Spain. You would need to buy in advance, probably online from www.eurail.com
All the way to Bar by train will be difficult because the Serbian rail network has been mostly closed for a long time, there is supposed to be one train per night from Belgrade to Bar but it's a risk. The alternative would a ferry from Italy, Ancona or Bari are possibles.
