Hey Forum ..!
So,me and some friends are planning a 1month IR trip, but, since we have never travelled before,we got some issues about our budjet
The cities we want to visit, are those (we are taking a plane from Greece to Dublin,to start our journey from there): Dublin, England, Paris, Bruxelles, Cologne, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Malmö, Oslo, Bergen, Hamburg, Berlin, Warsaw, Prague, Munchen, Wien, Budapest, Ljubljana, Venice, Florence, Rome and Bari (to take the ship in order to go home,Greece)
My question is :
How many money should we take with us?
Thanks!

Hi.
Calculate per day. It always depends on your personal behaviour.
You can save the most of your money on accommodation and food.
I recommend to have your own camping stove with you. Noodles and some tomatoes are cheap everywhere in Europe.
For accommodation check this website: [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux]
PER DAY:
- accommodation: EUR 25
- food: EUR 5
- extras: EUR 5
TOTAL per day: 30-40 EUR
Multiply with your travel days and you have the total money you will need.

I must say that we are not going to be spending the night in every city..and when we do,we are not planning to seek a hostel or a camping every time..
We are taking a tent with us,so we can sleep in a forest or a quiet area..

Few days ago I finished my european journey and without any accommodation(night trains :D ) I spent at least 20-25 euro a day. Food, left-luggage, some tickets, gifts, toilet, shower, everything costs so, please, do not think that for 5-10euro a day you will have nice travel!
My advices:
-do not buy anything on station! leave station, walk 5 minutes and you will find everything at least 2 times cheaper.
Before the travel look in internet for some supermarkets in your destination cities. then you will have more time for you.
-try to take some food with you. i know that it's not so convenient but for first 2-3 days it's very helped.
- i think it's cheaper travel during warm months like june or even may because when it's cold you are more hungry :)
so, for 1 month you will need about 600-700euro at least. try to not take all the money because sometimes someone can be not so nice like we are :D

Another question for my future interrail trip...I know I m gonna need about 300 euros for my personal expenses(food, drink,generally...staff) all our moving around will be prepaid so are the hostels (not entirely but anyway) so the only money I ll need is this 300. where should I keep it? are there any good spots...especially in night trains, when we ll probably sleep, what do you suggest. there will be 7 of us, alla carrying 30-45 rucksacks.
