Hello,

I am a student in Barcelona since 7th Sep, 2010. I'm an Indian citizen and I now have a Spanish residence card. I purchased an Interrail youth pass to travel from 23rd Dec. However, I just noticed in the terms and conditions that I should have been a resident for at least 6 months (a little too late :( ). What should I do? I don't know if I should cancel my pass now. I read in some posts here that some people did not have a problem while travelling. How strictly is this rule implemented? I would appreciate if some one could advise me on this issue.

Thanks!

Srikanth

Hi Srikanth.
The InterRail pass isn't valid if you use it.
Most train staff won't check your ticket AND your passport - but some will do. So you may have luck - or bad luck.
The best is to contact the place where you bought it and get your InterRail pass refunded.
Often the company where you bought it also offer Eurail passes - maybe they can arrange a special deal for you.
Peter :)
