Just a quick question about regional tickets and trains.
For example, if I was in Austria and I wanted to get to Innsbruck from Wien and I wanted to use only regional trains which involved 4 changes, can I buy 1 ticket for the entire journey or should I buy separate tickets upon changing?
Very hypothetical question I know but could the same apply to other countries (Germany, France, Hungary, etc..)
Thanks. ||

Hi.
You can buy only one ticket for your whole trip - even changing trains.
There are often special offers available using only regional trains.
Flow should know more for Austria.
In Germany you have the saver tickets called Schönes Wochenende Ticket or the Länder Tickets.

Hi!
Yeah, you can buy one ticket for the whole trip. But there is no price difference between regional and fast trains in Austria (and you dont need reservation on fast trains as well) so it doesnt really make sense to sit much longer on the train. The only special offer I'm aware off (for regional trains only though) is the Einfach Raus Ticket but it is only valid for groups (2 - 5 persons).
