Some tips from our Wild East 8)

Žilina-Poprad-Košice (Slovakia)
Žilina-Banská Bystrica-Margecany-Košice (Slovakia...yes it's slower than the main line through Poprad, but very pictoresque)
Sarajevo-Mostar (Bosnia)
Beograd-Bar (Serbia)
Septemvri-Dobrinište (Bulgaria)

Stockholm to Narvik iis better in summer, you have much longer daylight period.

Tangier - Marrakech.

45 degrees celsius, no AC and in a 50 y'old train. Must be the most unforgetable journey of my life.
