Best month to do interrail?

May and end of September... it is still sunny but trains are less full of travelers.
June, July and August is peak travel time.

I have done my Interrail trip in Septmeber and I can recommend this month. I had only a little problems with searching a place to sleep, usually it tooks me about 1-2 hours to find accomodation. Just I didn't book any nights before start, I done it spontanouesly :)
