Which cities in Europe, if any, are similar to Edinburgh?

I'm from England, and have been abroad a lot, but to this day my best experience of visiting a city has been Edinburgh. This is mainly because, as well as the culture and history in the centre of Edinburgh, there are great hills within easy walking distance from the centre that you can climb, as well as beautiful lochs and botanic gardens.

I'm considering travelling around Europe in the not-too-distant future. Which cities in Europe are similar to Edinburgh in this respect? Cities which are, architecturally, interesting and beautiful in their own right, but also have natural beauty surrounding them. I'm particularly partial to hill-climbing, and would be happy to hear about any in/around European cities that are roughly similar to Arthur's Seat (Edinburgh) in size.
