Hi!
There is a train service operating from Volos to Larisa, where you have to change to trains to Athens. There's only one direct train in the morning.
Departures from Volos according to Thomas Cook Rail Timetable at 0701 | 0900 | 1058 | 1257 | 1456 | 1657 | 1949 | 2149 | 2348 - please also check timetables with the schedule planner of greek railways OSE as they are likely to change during the year due to different reasons: https://rail.cc/en/ose-train-schedules/f5105 :arr: Volos = ΒΟΛΟΣ Athens = ΑΘΗΝΑ
Remember that there is a supplement to pay for travelling with IC trains Larisa - Athens, seat reservation is also recommended for this journey.
From Volos airport to the train station a bus service is operating, which terminate at Volos central bus station about 1km away from the train station. Check locally at the airport for timings and fares, I dont have any information. :|
