We're ın Instanbul at the moment untıl Saturday 21st or Sunday 22nd August. Our ınterraıl tıcket runs out on the 24th Aug (30 day contınuous, started on 25th July).

What are our optıons on the routes we can take to Rome? How long would they take and what would be the possıble extra costs of each? ( Ferry or nıght traın costs etc.)

We are lookıng to thıs ın as short a tıme as possıble, so any suggestıons would be apprecıated.

How long can we contınue usıng our ınterraıl tıcket for? Is ıt ok for the 25th, provıdıng the journey started the prevıous day?

Thanks a lot

Hi.
You have to be in Rome at the 24th at 23:59h. Then the ticket ends. The rule for night trains isn't possible to use.

Istanbul Sirkeci Dep: 2200 | Night train: https://rail.cc/en/istanbul-sofia-belgrade-night-train/f1641
Beograd Arr: 1921

Gorizia Centrale Dep: 1219 | Regional train - free of supplements
Venezia Mestre Arr: 1444

If you want to avoid the Eurostar Italia trains (Supplement EUR 10), use this connection.
Venezia Mestre Dep: 1509 | Regional train - free of supplements
Bologna Centrale Arr: 1704

Bologna Centrale Dep: 1718 | IC train - free of supplements
Roma Termini Arr: 2124

Other possibility is by train:
Istanbul-Thessaloniki: https://rail.cc/en/istanbul-athens-train/f2369
Thessaloniki-Igoumenitsa: by bus (leaving 1030) - EUR 27
Igoumenitsa-Bari/Ancona: by ferry - https://rail.cc/en/ferry-greece-italy-patras-bari-ancona-venice/f1348

You can travel as well Thessaloniki-Athens by train.
Athens-Patras by train - and then continue by the ferry mentioned above.

Peter :)
