Hi.

You have these options:

1) by night train - I could only check it for the night train of the 18th to the 19th - and there was still free seats (EUR 4) and free beds (couchette 6 - EUR 20).
You should also get a bed or seat in it on the 16th or 17th - just go to the main station and ask for a seat (EUR 4), couchette 6 persons (EUR 20)) or couchette 4 persons (EUR 30):

2) The long way with slower regional trains:

Munich Hbf Dep: 0923 | ICE train - free of supplements
Stuttgart Hbf Arr: 1147

Stuttgart Hbf Dep: 1200 | IC train - free of supplements
Karlsruhe Hbf Arr: 1253

Karlsruhe Hbf Dep: 1310 | InterRegio train - free of supplements
Appenweier Arr: 1350

Appenweier Dep: 1440 | Regional train - free of supplements
Strasbourg Arr: 1505

Strasbourg Dep: 1535 | Regional train - free of supplements
Metz Ville Arr: 1731

Metz Ville Dep: 1830 | Regional train - free of supplements
Bar-le-Duc Arr: 1923

Bar-le-Duc Dep: 1936 | Regional train - free of supplements
Paris Est Arr: 2153

3) By train to Basel. From Basel you have several connections to Paris using free Regional trains and TEOZ train (supplement EUR 3, but you always get a seat).
