I\'d like to take the day train from Oslo to Copenhaguen. On the website [ux]https://plan.rail.cc[/ux] , this is the schedule:

Oslo S: 18:00
Göteborg Central: 21:55 (with Regionalzug)

Göteborg Central: 22:42
Halmstad Central: 23:55 (with Oeresundzug)

Halmstad Central: 05:04
Copenhaguen H: 07:37 (with Oeresundzug)

This means are all regional trains, without supplement? Because I don\'t understand what means Oeresundzug, sorry :(

I\'ve searched in the website SJ, but they don\'t have this schedule for this trip. Can anyone help me, please?

PS: With this schedule, how many days I\'d have to spend in my flexible pass? three??

Hi!

I wouldnt recommend this connection - what are you going to do during the night in Halmstad? It probably wont be possible to stay overnight at the station and spending money for accomodation for just a few hours maybe isnt a good idea either.

However, the timings you found on [ux]https://plan.rail.cc[/ux] are correct. :!: Attention, this trip is only possible when leaving Oslo on Sunday - Thursday! The Oslo - Göteborg train doesnt run Saturday and the Halmstad - Copenhagen train doesnt run Saturday and Sunday.

Oresundzug can be used with InterRail without any extras like reservations etc...just board the train and relax. :)

If you want I can look for other connections as well, but please give me a specific date so that I can check if trains are running on that special date.

If you would take the connection you\'ve mentioned, you would need two days of your flexi pass. Note: If you mark one travel day in your flexi pass you can use as many trains you want on that day from 0000-2359. See also at the 1900-rule for night trains: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train

Thanks flow for helping me!!

On Monday 4th, we're going from Bergen to Oslo by train (in the morning 07:00 - 14.30), and later, we want to take the train from Oslo to Copenhagen (night train), so that we can get Copenhagen in the morning and spend the day there.

I know that's a very difficult combination xDD

So the station train of Halmstad, would it be close at night?? :/

Hi!

Ok, here\'s a possible conection for the 4th october:

Bergen 0758 - 1432 Oslo
Oslo 1549 - 2206 Stockholm :arr: reservation required as far as we know - 3€; ask locally at Bergen and/or Oslo
Stockholm 2306 - 0627 Malmö :arr: night train, sleepers and couchettes only, no seats
:arr: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/stockholm-malmoe-nt-1/139
Malmö 0642 - 0717 Kopenhagen

If you\'d like to go via Göteborg, there\'s no good connection to the Bergen - Oslo train :arr: it would be better to take the overnight from Bergen as follows:

Bergen 2258 - 0626 Oslo :arr: night train :arr: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/bergen-to-oslo
Oslo 0700 - 1055 Göteborg
Göteborg 1142 - 1537 Kopenhagen (a faster connection with X2000 would be available: Göteborg 1132 - 1500 Kopenhagen with compulsory seat reservation for 7€)

There is no night train on the Oslo - Göteborg - Malmö - Kopenhagen route!

I dont think Karlstad station will be open during night - we\'ve been at Gällivare station up in the north which was closed during the night, as well two friends of us got kicked out of Stockholm station...

That's perfect!!!! You think we'll have time to take the train from Oslo to Copenhagen (if we arrive at Oslo at 14.30)? The trains usually are on time?? So, with this connection, I'll use 2 days (4th and 5th), right?

Many thanks for the advice!!

No problem. :)

You have more than one hour to change at Oslo S, so I dont think you'll have troubles. :) When I was in Norway in summer, I had the impression that trains are on time usually - although our Bergen - Oslo night train had one hour delay, but that was due to an unexpected event...but dont worry, you should be fine, one hour to change is a big buffer. :)

And yes, you'll need two travel days with that connection. Dont forget to make reservations for the Stockholm - Malmö night train! Best way (if you cant get it at a station in Norway) is via bokatag.se

Hey! I was wondering if there is the same connection BUT on the other way (Copenhagen - oslo). Is it possible to travel with the Interrail card without paying (or paying few) extra supplements/reservations on this route?

Thanks!

Hi Bea.

Yes... check this link: https://rail.cc/en/train/copenhagen-to-oslo
The first connection in the morning is free. :)

Pay attention: due to construction work around Oslo there might be somewhere at the end a change to a bus. But this one will be free as well, as it is only replacing the train. Calculate with some delay.
But should be finished soon the works.

Peter :)
