I was hoping to pre-book the TGV trains from Nice to Paris on 5th September, and I can't quite work out how to do this. We need to know when we will be arriving in Paris as we will be booking the eurostar and need to know what time for. Can we not pre-book, do we simply need to turn up at Nice train station and ask for an inter-rail discount tickets, as all the trains on the TGV website seem to cost around £200. How much can we expect to pay for the ticket at the train station, I have also read the page regarding what to do if there are no inter-rail tickets left, but how much will this cost? I don't really want to be stuck in Nice and miss our eurostar connection.
Many thanks

Hi Sarah.
You can already book the supplement at Paris, before you travel to Nice.
The supplement is between EUR 3 and 10.
If you don't get supplements anymore - as the seats are very limited :| - you have one solution left to avoid problems coming back home. Please read here:

Just double-checking, so we can book the supplement at the train station in Paris when we arrive in August for September? Do we do this on the ticket machine? How do we ensure we get the interrail discount?
I can't seem to find a page on this, only the one relating to peak periods.
Many thanks

Hi Sarah.
Arriving in August in Paris, you can book the supplement (=seat reservation) at a ticket window in one of the big railway stations of Paris.
If they tell you no seats available any more (as the SNCF isn't very InterRail friendly and the seats are very limited), you have solve the problem the way mentioned above to have a fair deal. Order it online or at a ticket machine in Paris and select the option abonnement forfait 2e classe.
