Hello,

I from Germany near Hamburg. And i plan my route for the year 2011. I will travel fifteen days with interrails.
and now My Question:
It's feasible in fifteen days to travel from gronning to Amsterdam then Brüssel,Paris, maybe short hours trips to other France citys, then to Barcalona, back about Monaco, South France and back to Germany.

Its feasible or not?

Thanks for Answer

Hi Marcel.

You can definitely do this within 15 days! :)

To leave Germany, either buy a Europa Spezial Ticket Niederlande for EUR 19/29 (if you book early - as they are very limited) or use a Schönes Wochenende Ticket. The same for your way back, as you can not travel for free in your country of residence (=Germany).
You only get a discount of 25% on a normal train ticket - so these special offers are often much cheaper!

Check these topics as well to save money:

Cross the Pyrenees on your way to Barcelona or back! Definitely worth the Petit Train Jaune!

About the single cities I can't give you details, as I am specialist for rail connections and routes - not for tourist attractions ... ;)
The best is to ask at the hostels where to go, where to party and so on.
They usually have free maps available.
Check hostels at hostelworld: [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux]

Viel Spaß, Peter :)

Hi.

All places you stay are expensive ones. Check the hostel website to find out prices. As accommodation and food are the things for which you will spent most of your money.

Calculate like this per day:
- accommodation: EUR 25
- food: EUR 5
- beer: EUR 5
- extras: EUR 5

TOTAL PER DAY 40-50 EUR

Peter :)

Hey! I am thinking of a similar rout so this info is good to know. Thanks. I would however have one more question. Do you always stay in Hostels? Or do you also stay in Hotels, apartments or with friends? I know that staying in a hotel or an apartment would be more expensive so I'm not asking about the money. I'm asking, because I wonder whether staying in Hostels is part of the trip part of the feeling?! What’s your opinion on that?

Staying in hostels is definitely more fun. You meet a lot of other travelers. Apartments or hotels are anonymous. :)
