An important conundrum...

I'm travelling from London - Budapest to meet some family in Hungary, but as I'm taking the train, I want to know about the places where I can get food? I don't have long to spend between trains in Paris or Munich - But I know I will get hungry from time to time.

Food is expensive onboard trains, but does anyone know of any Supermarkets near the stations? Burger King/McDonalds?

What would you recommend to buy from stalls to put in my bag to eat on a journey?

In most train stations (and definitely in Paris, Munich) you can find McDonalds/BurgerKing/Le Crobag and/or kiosks to buy water and something to eat so you won't starve even if you have limited time for transit.
Be sure you have water with you and some cereal bars or chocolates.. they are easy to carry and tasty.
Since you start from London make sure you have euros with you 8)

It's almost always worth walking a few hundred meters away from the station, especially if you have time. If you have no idea which way to go, i would choose the opposite of the downtown, since there are no big cheap shops in the downtown.

In Germany and Austria make sandwich from Läberkäse, it's amazing and cheap :)
