Hi.
The best is always to stay in smaller hostels - then the staff is nice and helpful. As they are often young as well, you can easily ask them where to go out in the evening, where to chill and relax. They know it, as they live there. I do it always this way. You can find hostels for example at [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux]
Concerning your route...
Try to make it in this order:
Lisbon - Madrid - Barcelona - Nice - Milano - via Venice to Slovenia.
Lisbon-Madrid: https://rail.cc/en/train/lisbon-to-madrid
Madrid-Barcelona: by day train. In Spain it will be a supplement between EUR 6,50 and EUR 10:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/spain/es
Barcelona-Nice: https://rail.cc/en/train/marseille-to-nice
If you like, add the Petit Train Jaune (but then you will have one more night in Perpignan):
https://rail.cc/blog/little-yellow-train-video/
Nice-Milano: https://rail.cc/en/train/marseille-to-milan
Milano-Venice:
In Italy avoid the Eurostar Italia trains - supplement EUR 10
Use the free IC trains. Example:
Milano Centrale Dep: 0905 | IC train - running frequent, during the day every 30 minutes.
Venezia Mestre Arr: 1128
Venice-Ljubljana: https://rail.cc/en/venice-ljubljana-train/f3664
Ljubljana - Bled - Ljubljana: https://rail.cc/en/lake-bled-ljubljana-train/f4005
Then either to Rijeka and by bus along the coast to Split and Dubrovnik (very frequent and cheap).
Ljubljana-Rijeka: https://rail.cc/en/ljubljana-rijeka-train/f4350
Back Split to Zagreb.
Split-Zagreb: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/zagreb-split-b821/129
Or Ljubljana-Zagreb, Zagreb-Split, Split-Dubrovnik by bus.
Ljubljana-Zagreb: https://rail.cc/en/ljubljana-zagreb-train/f4001
Zagreb - Budapest: by direct day train.
Or direct night train Split-Budapest: https://rail.cc/en/split-budapest-night-train/f4047
Budapest - Vienna: https://rail.cc/en/budapest-vienna-munich-train-railje/f4070
Between Vienna and Prague you can add Krakow (Poland) if you like. With a good night life.
Vienna - Prague: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/vienna-berlin-en-60406/45
You can use as well day trains (for example the free OEC ones, but avoid the SC ones with a supplement of EUR 7 - ask at a station in Vienna to catch the correct one)
Prague - Berlin: https://rail.cc/en/prague-berlin-train/f3360
Berlin - Paris: https://rail.cc/en/berlin-paris-train/f2545
Pasris - Irun - Lisbon: https://rail.cc/en/night-train/irun-lisbon-th-313/73
Concerning the TGV in France, please read here: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/tgv-sncf/42
These are only some train connections, of course there are much more.
Always use the schedule planer: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
And check the country topics: https://rail.cc/en/countries
If you like our work here, support it and buy your official InterRail pass at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Have fun, Peter :)

Hi Peter and thanx :)
But going by train from Lisbon till the eastern part takes a long time no? How many days do you think this trip takes?

Check the links ... but if you want to avoid trains with supplements, you have to calculate 2-3 days.
If you get a cheap flight, fly to Croatia or somewhere in this corner... will be definitely the better option if you want to save some days. :)

Peter, I changed ideas lol
Now my plan is:
Lisbon - Berlin (by plane on the 12th August) - stay 3 nights and leave Berlin on the 15th to arrive early to Prague.
Visit Prague in two days (is it ok to Prague?) and leave on the 16th late night. Would u stay longer?
Then from Prague to Vienna (to stay two more days I guess)
Vienna - Budapest (2 days)
Budapest - Split/Dubrovnik (2/3 days)
Dubrovnik - Ljubliana (1/2 days)
Ljubliana - Salzburg (2 days)
Salzburg - Florence (2 days)
I have to arrive on the 30th to Lisbon, if I buy a 15 day Interrail ticket right? Because I start to use it in Berlim on the 15th. Am I correct?
Can u help me again? sorry about the changes hehe
Tell me if u think the days in the cities are good as I wrote now.

Hi...
Sounds good your trip - as well the number of days in each city.
Just check the country topics for details about the route - as it is nearly the same as proposed only in reverse. :)
And think about the 10 days in 22 InterRail Global pass - it is cheaper as the 15 days continuous - and you should get it with 10 travel days.

Peter, can you tell me which trips are better to go during the night and which ones are better during the day?

I recommend if possible to use the night train Budapest-Split, as it is very long by day train.
Prague-Vienna is also good by night, even it is a short trip - depends on you. In Prague and in Vienna you can get good and cheap hostels.
Ljubljana to Salzburg I recommend by day train, as for the amazing nature (the Alps).
All other trips by day trains.

Hi again Peter,
My final plan will be like this:
Dia 12 Departure from Lisbon (by train - Can you help me with the schedules and the best way to do it? I guess it's too many consecutive hours. We should sleep somewhere in the middle or do what?)
Dia 13 Arrival to Berlim
Dia 17 Departure to Prague
Dia 19 Departure to Vien (night train??)
Dia 20 Departure to Budapest
Dia 23 Departure to Split (night train too??) + Dubrovnik + Hvar Island
Dia 26 Departure to Slovenia (Bohinj lake - instead of Bled. I read that is very nice and less touristic. You got any opinion about that?)
Dia 28 Departure to Venice
Dia 29 Departure to Florence
Dia 30 Back to Lisbon
Confirm me only the best places to go by night train. Only those two I mentioned?
Another thing..do the european union citizens need a passport to enter in croatia? Because it's 70€ if I ask it now (with urgency) :(
Thanx for your information :)

Hi Rui.
Just use the schedule planer like mentioned above and have a look at the country topics. Everything is there you need.
Lisbon - Berlin:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/lisbon-hendaye-th-310/74
Buy the supplement for the TGV already in Lisbon.
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/tgv-sncf/42
https://rail.cc/en/paris-berlin-train/f2442
Prague-Vienna: for example by free day trains (avoid the SC trains with EUR 7 supplement, use free OEC trains).
Budapest-Split: https://rail.cc/en/budapest-split-night-train/f5069
Croatia is possible at least as German to enter by normal ID-card. Just ask at the embassy.

Peter,
We arrive on the 12th at 13h20 by plane to Paris.
Can you help me with the trip from Paris to Berlin? I guess I have one from Paris beginning at 9h09 that arrives at Berlin +- at 17h30, with one change. Can you confirm me? And how do I make the reservation?

Hi.
Just use the schedule planer: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
And check this topic: https://rail.cc/en/paris-berlin-train/f2442
The schedule planer tells you two options left for the day via Cologne using the expensive (!) THALYS train. You can buy the supplement at the train station in Paris. Or online if you call the THALYS company. The ICE within Germany is free.
I recommend you to use the night train Paris-Berlin which will save you money and is much more relaxing (see link above).
If you have the option to fly directly to Berlin, then definitely do it - as it is much cheaper and you save a lot of time instead flying to Paris, saving some Euros and then travel by rail to Berlin.
Peter :)
