Hi!
Next summer i want to travel interRail, im doing it alone. Just to start with, i love citys. My interest for history is little, but i love taking pictures of historical memories.
I have a handful of countrys i want to visit, my stay will be for a month i think. Next year i'm going as a paramedic trainee and have one whole month of in August.
So therefore i where wondering wich is the best route, and how many days is the best:
Greece: 8 Days
Italy: 6 Days
Finland: 2 Days
Switzerland: 2 Days
Turkey: 4 Days
France: 2 Days
Croatia: 3 Days
This is the countrys that i want to visit, this is only a sctech. Wich countrys should i visit first and last? Is there som countrys nearby that i should visit instead of some days in another country?
Im open for change and what you think! :)

Hi Kent.
So I first tried to bring it in a correct order for a rail trip...
Croatia - Turkey - Greece - Italy - Switzerland - France - Finland
Of course it always depends on how you get to your starting place. Will you fly to it... or where do you start exactly?
If you can catch a flight to Croatia, lets start for example in Split.
Split
Zagreb (with the option of a visit of Ljubljana, Lake Bled, ...)
Belgrade
If you want to stop you can in Sofia
Istanbul (the direct way from Belgrade by night train
Thessaloniki
Athens
Patras
Ferry to Italy
Some stops in Italy
In the Alps with stops for example in Bern, Zürich or think about the Glacier Express (some extra fees)
Over to France - it depends what you want to see in France. It is also possible first France, then Switzerland
Basel-Copenhagen: night train
Copenhagen-Stockholm
Stockholm ferry to Turku or Helsinki
Think about it ... I am not the specialist for historical monuments... only for rail tracks. So if you know the places you want to see, I can help you find the best rail connections. :)
Check as well the country topics with a lot of information about connections:

Awesome Peter, thank you for this quick answer!
This looks like a good plan, im fom Norway. So start with train would be to much of lost time, it's nice to see that Finland is last, then it's not long to my place. I can rail back to Norway (or?).
This route is a good starting point, im not this guy who likes monument's to much. And it's my first InterRail also.
So im going to look further into it now, to se wich plases that can be excluded and chaged (to be honest, it looks pretty done to me. But much can change in a year, i want to travel next year the whole august.
Thank you for giving me such a detailed route!

Let me know if you have some new plans. :)
It depends on where you live in Norway...
In Northern Finland you will have to use a bus (it is free for InterRail pass travelers) to Northern Sweden.

And in Northern Norway you have to use the bus between Narvik and Bodo to get down to the South:

Thanks!
Im bit of a traveler so at this time i'm in middle of Norway, but when my interrail starts i will be in almost as south as you can get in Norway. So maybee start in Denmark would be a option?
I am also unshure if i want to travel for one month or longer, this is a once of a lifetime chance you know!
Soon i will be creating a webpage for my trip, i want it to be remembered! Thanks for help :D

Hi...
Try this route if you want to do it the short way:
Oslo-Copenhagen: https://rail.cc/en/oslo-copenhagen-train/f5232
Copenhagen-Munich: https://rail.cc/en/copenhagen-munich-night-train/f3772
Munich-Zagreb: direct and free EC day train or by night train:
https://rail.cc/en/munich-zagreb-night-train/f3998
But if you have one month in total or even more, you should have some more stops... for example night train Malmö-Berlin, then continue to the East...

But isn't like this trip to Zagreb going to be in like 2-3 days or something? Befor the real start? Sweeden i have visisted alot, but denmark is a bit more undiscovered land for me.
I want to see the nice Europe, not like Poland or some country like that. Tough it would be nice, but i went to this part of Europe in middle school.
But i'm probably going to start with train then! :D .
