I will be traveling to Italy from the 16th-27th August and am currently trying to to decide which inter rail ticket I buy depending on how many days I will be traveling in Italy. I am hoping to book an overnight sleeper cabin on the naples to milan train towards the end of my holiday but have no idea how to check availability of cabins or book them. Also do I actually have to have my inter rail pass before I make the booking or can I purchase it after I reserve the train. Thanks for any help you can give

Hi.

You can book the reservations for Italian night trains already before you received your InterRail pass.

Check the Italian country topic where you will find more information about train connections, also night trains:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation

Keep in mind the helpful rule of 1900h for night trains which will help you to save travel days using night trains:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train

So you can buy a cheaper InterRail One Country Pass Italy with less travel days! :)

If you like our forum and all the information, support us and buy your official InterRail pass at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]

Thank you, Peter :)
