Hello people!
My plan is to travel the 16th from Amsterdam to Biarritz, then from Biarritz to Greece (problably the 20 th or 21 th) and then Greece to Italy (24th or 25th). Although Im living in UK, im French and intend to buy the Interail instead of the Eurail.
But I have a few questions.
1- How long does it take for the pass arrive in my home?
1a- How long does it take from amsterdam to biarritz? is there any direct trains?
2- After having the pass, how do I book the trains?
3- To go from Greece to Italy, can I use a ferry (dont know if thats how its spells this word =p)
4- In your opinion which pass best suit my trip plans? (Im in doubt between the continuous 15 days or de 5 days in 10 days)
5= How long does it take from biarritz to athens?

Plan B
After going to Biarritz, instead of heading to athens I go to Madrid and Benicassim (rototom festival!) and then to italy.
1- Is there any train Biarritz-Madrid?

Thank You! and sorry for all the qestions!

Hi.

Important to read for you will be the step-by-step guide. Read it carefully as it will answer a lot of your questions:
https://rail.cc/en/first-interrail-tour/f3303

1) Delivery to the UK is usually within 48 hours on business days - calculate 3 days and you are save.
[ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
At the end of your order process you will find the detailed delivery times - before you place your final order.
As you are French - you can not travel for free in France, except, the UK is your country of residence. Then you have to proof your residency in the UK by some official documents like a visa or residency permit:
https://rail.cc/en/how-to-interrail

1a) Use the schedule planer: https://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
As the French railway is not very InterRailer friendly, read this topic:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/tgv-sncf/42

Always do it this way:
A: Check the schedule planer - like mentioned above.
B: Compare it to the supplements section: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
C: Check the country topics for night trains and supplement free alternatives: https://rail.cc/en/countries

2) If the train is free to use (without supplements - like explained above), you do not have to book a train - just enter the train and sit down.
If it is a special train like a high speed train or night train, read this information:
https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation

As it just came in my mind... and as an example on how to use the forum, is the travel from UK to France. You have two options:
https://rail.cc/en/ferry-london-paris-england-france/f1222
https://rail.cc/en/london-paris-eurostar-train/f1805

3) https://rail.cc/en/ferry-greece-italy-patras-bari-ancona-venice/f1348

4) Think about the 10 days in 22 - which is cheaper than the 15 days continuous.

5) It is a long travel. Depends if you use the ferry between Italy and Greece or if you cross Eastern Europe (definitely interesting).
If you travel via Eastern Europe, use Thessaloniki as final destination as the system doesn't know Athens as station - the Greece railway is a bit special.
Read these two topics and use the schedule planer:
https://rail.cc/en/ose-train-schedules/f5105
https://rail.cc/en/greece-railway-ose/f3159

Extra:
There is no direct train from Amsterdam to Biarritz. Use the schedule planer and check the country topics.
Free travel Amsterdam-Paris: https://rail.cc/en/amsterdam-paris-train/f1472
Night trains France: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/france/fr
