I'm looking to travel from Pisa to Venice at about 10am on a Wednesday - so far, the quickest route I've found is the 9.54 through Firenze, with 1 change - but it is subject to reservation!

Before I make this reservation, can anyone recommend a free route through to Venice? Wanting to get there as early and as quickly as possible!

(Also, when booking reservations on Trenitalia, is it confirmed that for my ticket number I can just put a 0 if I'm using an InterRail Global Pass?)

Hi.

The earliest connection without any supplements is the following (there are much more using the schedule planer with the option without HST):

Pisa Centrale Dep: 0654 | free Regional train
Firenze S.M.N. Arr: 0803

Firenze S.M.N. Dep: 0835 | free IC train (a reservation is possible for EUR 3, also recommended but you do not need it. You can just get in and sit down)
Bologna Centrale Arr: 0942

Bologna Centrale Dep: 0956 | free Regional train
Venezia Santa Lucia Arr: 1203

And yes, just fill in a 0 if you buy a supplement via the Trenitalia website.

Peter :)
