Its really crazy how interrail pass works. I am more than just confused. When i ordered my pass with budget shipping it said it would come on 30th of July or BEFORE. It had a tracking process on website that shows in which stage is the ticket. I ordered the pass on 16th of July and today when i checked the status it said it has been shipped on 20th of July. The irony is that i have still received nothing. I called the customer service and they said that there is a difference between shipping date and delivery date. It is shipped within 10 business days. Not a word about that on the website. I have been shopping things online and shipping and delivery date have never been that confusing. It is usually the date you would have the thing at your DOORSTEP.

Since i chose the budget shipping i am not even able to change the shipping type and track it. I wanted to receive the ticket as i expected since it says on the website that We ship in one business day which is a total lie. I wanted to visit a friend in another city and go from there. Now i am stuck at my place and have to wait for the ticket which is excruciating. Its so annoying that they dont mention anything on the website about it. Even if they said it would come on 30th or Before, i could have been waiting but it clearly show SHIPPED on 20th July 2010. I wish i had purchased it from Swedish Rail service instead. That way i could have tracked the package. Even the fake tracking number they gave me at customer service has no existence in Swedish post system when i asked about it from them. Swedish rail system customer service cant do anything either as its not purchased from them.

Apparently they have such a disconnected system that once the package has left the office there is NO tracking of it whatsoever if its budget shipping. I hope once the trip starts the train service is better than interrail service.

- If people get information here, ask here, get answers here, but buy their ticket somewhere else - it is not a fair behaviour - they simply support a big anonymous company and destroy the small well done and made with love projects.

Wowowow wait a minute. Even before i knew that forum exists i had bought the ticket and trust me i love this place. If i hadnt done that i would have bought it from here and i wasnt talking about the delivery after having bought it from here. I bought it from their official website and if i knew about the forum and could do it all over again i would never buy it from them which i am already regretting.

The only purpose of explaining the problem here is probably to make people aware that they shouldnt buy it from the official website and DEFINITELY buy it from here. I dont believe in supporting big corporations and government anyways. I am sorry you took the post the wrong way.

No problem ...! Now it is clear.... :D

I just had to mention it, as a lot of people buy their ticket somewhere else and forget about it, that it is a lot of work to run this project.
It is not just fun - we also need some money for food and beer and as well have to pay the tickets (we don't get them for free) to travel around Europe and find out all this information.

Sounds like fun, but believe me, sometimes I would prefer just to sit in the garden of some friends, having barbecue than living several weeks per year in European hostels.

But now let's hope that you get your ticket and you have a good trip!!! :)
