Is there a reasonably quick way of getting from Calais to Munich that avoids Thalys? Not too worried about paying some supplements and reservations, but want to avoid Thalys. I leave tomorrow so this is pretty 11th hour.

Hi.

The fastest connections is always via Paris. If you can get supplements for the TGV trains, you could use this one:

Calais Ville Dep: 1235 | by TGV
Paris Nord Arr: 1426

Paris Nord - Paris Est: you can walk, something about 500 meters

Paris Est Dep: 1524 | by TGV
München Hbf Arr: 2138

To get the supplements for the TGV trains, check this topic:

It is possible to book online and pick up the supplements at the station in Calais.

Peter :)
