Hey Guys (Peter :) )

my brother and me want to stay for three nights (four days) in Brussel, however, again the question is, is it possible to use the Interrail Ticket there for busses and trams? And if yes, would you suggest us to use it therefore, or are there better / cheaper solutions?

Thanks again for your helpful answers!

Felix

Hi Felix.

The answer is: no.
As InterRAIL is a RAIL ticket of the national railways of each country. And buses or trams of cities usually doesn't belong them.

the local buses-tram-metro is done by MIVB-STIB
they have daypasses/valid 24 hrs for 4,50-each. NOT valid to-fro airport, only within the town/boundaries.
Or/for 2, there is a 10/ride card )cancel 2 rides for 2 per time'/about 11-12eur/price change ev. year. Changes whithin 1 hr are free/the orange machines recognise that. BRU has a very wide train network and many stations/small, but with just 1/2 trains-hr, but these are of course included on IR.
