Hi there, me and my girlfriend have decided to go interrailing at the start of september. We have aprox £600 per person (which will include the tickets aswell. thinking of getting a 5 days in 10 ticket?) We are also going to take a camping stove to savemoney on food.

I have come up with 2 options...

The first would be to fly to KRAKOW >> BERLIN (or KOLN) >> PARIS >> BARCELONA >> LISBON - then fly home

OR

GET a coach to PARIS (£75PP RETURN which is very cheap!! but has the problem of we will have to get back to PARIS.)

PARIS >> ROME >>VIENNA >>KRAKOW/PRAGUE >>PARIS

Would either of these routes work or could anyone recommend a better plan? We are open to anything and just want to go!

Hi!

Maybe have a read here at first: https://rail.cc/en/first-interrail-tour/f3303

Regarding your routes:

1) Only possible when going Barcelona - Madrid by night train and then using the route via Badajoz described in this link: https://rail.cc/en/interrail/madrid-to-lisbon
2) Is possible, for going back to Paris, there'd be a daytime connection via Dresden and Frankfurt, travel time ~12h30 or a night train connection via Berlin, taking ~19h and requiring two travel days.

You could also think about getting cheap Eurostar tickets for crossing the channel, or have a look at the Harwich - Hook van Holland ferry: https://rail.cc/blog/from-london-to-amsterdam-with-the-dutchflyer/
