Hello,

We are ging to travel by train from the Netherlands via Berlin, Budapest and Bucarest to Istanbul. Does anybody know if there are taps with hot water in the night trains from Berlin to Budapest (EN 477) en Bucarest to Istanbul (Bosfor Express) like there are in the Russian and Chinees trains? Than we know if we can bring some instantnoodles for dinner :D !

Thanks for your anwser!

Best regards,

Mrijke

Maybe you'll have the chance to get hot tap water when you are travelling in a WL (sleeper car)...but I'm not sure at all...

Something just came in my mind: I often saw a small stove in the cabin of the chief of the car - but I think this was more for personal use of to make the coffee in the morning - it never looked like if you could ask for to make your instead meal. ;)

Exactly that is what i mean: a hot water stove! In Chinees an Russian sleeper cars you'll find those stoves at the end of each corridor! They have little taps where you can get hot water to prepare tea, coffee or instantnoodles. I was hoping that those stoves were also available in (Eastern) Europan trains. But it seems nobody is realy sure about it. I still hope somebody can give me a definit anwser!

Ive never seen any passanger use one, though on some trains the guard has been able to make tea/coffee and has offered it (for a small charge) to passangers. You will just have to ask im afraid
