Hi.

Just two short infos ...

Crossing the Pyrenees down to Barcelona is the best by Petit Train Jaune:

Southern Spain to Portugal has to be done by bus:

More infos later. Peter :)

Hi...

Perpignan - Latour de Carol - Barcelona and return is all by free Regional trains - no supplements or reservations needed!

Hi!

- Latour de Carol - Barcelona is by free RENFE Regional/Rodalies train. Dep Latour de Carol: 0815, 1031, 1315, 1628, 1842, travel time ~3h. Attention, due to construction works in Barcelona the trains only run to St. Andreu Arenal, where you have to change to Metro or Bus.
- Zürich - Montpellier: There is only one direct TGV running from Geneve, if you want to go with this train try to make an early reservation. Alternatively you could go to Lyon and take a TGV from there to Montpellier.
- Porto - Biarritz: Best connection is by Surex night train (Coimbra - Hendaye) https://rail.cc/en/interrail-night-train/lisbon-hendaye-th-310/74, if you know your travel days it's also good to make this reservation early since there is only one train running each day.
- In the Benelux avoid the expensive Thalys trains: https://rail.cc/en/train/paris-to-amsterdam
