I urgently need some help in terms of reserving trains etc. I was planning to get an Interrail flexi pass for 10 travel days within 22. I have decided all the places to stay and looked up hostels, so I was hoping not to have to change the order of countries I am visiting. However I have just found out that you need to pay £100 return to use the Eurostar, I was just wondering what other way I can get from London to Paris and how much will this cost?
Will I need to reserve trains / pay extra for any of the following connections, can I just turn up and get on the trains with my Interrail pass–
Paris to Bruges
Bruges to Amsterdam
Amsterdam to Berlin
Berlin to Prague
Prague to Munich
Munich to Nice
Nice to Paris to London
Many thanks

It depends on when you're travelling, if it's a few months away you can get Eurostar for £34.50 each way between London and Paris. Only thing is that means you must use the exact trains you have booked both ways.
Paris is a nightmare to get out of but maybe it might be easier to go to Bruges as there may be regional trains. Nice to Paris will be tricky if it's by TGV, I had no end of problems trying to get out of Paris and that was for a Sunday morning :(
The rest should be okay but may need reservations.

Hi Sarah.
London - Paris: is possible by ferry as well. It is much cheaper:
https://rail.cc/en/ferry-london-paris-england-france/f1222
Paris - Bruges: avoid using the expensive THALYS trains - you can travel it by free trains (here an example to Bruxelles):
https://rail.cc/en/paris-brussels-bruxelles-train/f3992
An example to Bruges (there ar more connections of course available, but this one is free of supplements):
Paris Nord dep: 0907 | free Regional train
Amiens arr: 1029
Amiens dep: 11:00 | free Regional train
Lille Flandres arr: 13:00
Lille Flandres dep: 13:05 | free Regional train
Brugge arr: 14:27
Bruges - Amsterdam: the same, avoid the THALYS train. An example of a free connection:
Brugge dep: 09:19 | free IC train
Antwerpen Centraal arr: 10:44
Antwerpen Centraal dep: 11:00 | free IC train
Amsterdam Centraal arr: 13:06
Amsterdam - Berlin: possible by free trains or night train
https://rail.cc/en/amsterdam-berlin-train/f2346
Berlin - Prague: free of supplements
https://rail.cc/en/berlin-prague-train/f3361
Prague - Munich: free of supplements
Use the direct trains or travel via Nürnberg which has a nice castle. Do not use the bus!
https://rail.cc/en/prague-praha-nuremberg-nurnberg-munich-bus-train/f3502
Munich - Nice: I recommend you to have a stop in between.
Best direct connection:
München Hbf dep: 07:31 | EC train - supplement should be EUR 5 for the Italian part, but ask at the station in Munich - it might be free starting in Germany.
Bolzano/Bozen arr: 11:30
Bolzano/Bozen dep: 12:37 | free Regional train
Verona Porta Nuova arr: 14:52
Verona Porta Nuova dep: 15:02 | free IC train
Milano Centrale arr: 16:25
Milano Centrale dep: 17:00 | free IC train
Ventimiglia arr: 21:07
Ventimiglia dep: 21:37 | free Regional train
Nice Ville arr: 22:26
Nice - Paris - London: here you have several options. I recommend you to use some TGV trains (see schedule planer). If you like and knowyour exact return date, you can buy them already at the beginning of your tour.
Read this carefully: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation/tgv-sncf/42
Then again by ferry:

A good website to book hostels is this one: [ux]https://rail.shop/hostelworld[/ux]
Train scheduleshttps://rail.cc/en/search-interrail-route
Supplements: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
And if you want to support our work and this answer, buy your official InterRail ticket at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux]
Thank you, Peter :)
