hi, can you please tell me what is the cheapest way to get from BUDAPEST to BIARRITZ or at least to LYON by train? with the minimum of changes of course =) the ~ time of trip is august-september.

A third option would be:
Budapest 1510 - 2230 München
2243 München - 0923 Paris :arr: [u]https://rail.cc/en/munich-paris-night-train/f3775[/u]
From Paris there are several direct TGV trains to Biarritz, travel time ~5h, reservation fee with InterRail 3/10€.
If you want to go to Lyon instead, best way probably is with night train to Zürich [u]https://rail.cc/en/budapest-zurich-night-train/f1447[/u] and then with IC to Geneve and TER to Lyon.

The cheapest solution doing this journey would be a 5in10 Global Pass, 159€. Plus supplements of ~20€ each way so a return journey would be about ~200€. I cant give you price details for regular tickets, you'd have to check at the websites of the relevant railways.
