Hey,
should be my last questions, because I leave in 1 week and 7 hours for my 1. tour =)

1. I have a maestro Card, Can I use it without problems on my journey to get money?

2. I often read you should use a bike lock to fix your backpack in nighttrains, but I dont really get the sense of it, a thief still can take everything out if he wants.

3. Where to put your ticket and reservations + passport, since this is the most important stuff?

Would be glad if these questions would be answered, and if theres any tips you have who may help, just let it out =).

Hi Marco.

1) Never had problems using my Maestro Card somewhere in Europe. In Eastern Europe I always used a Visa Card on my last trips - but Maestro should be fine as well if I remember right. :)

2) Yes a thief can pick things out of your bag as well - but it is simply nice to have your bag fixed when you sleep - so you avoid at least that someone take your whole bag and runs away. You can use as well something else like a belt or what ever. But no need to do it.

3) During the night: in my stinky socks. ;)

- I have a small bag that I can wear around my neck and put under my shirt to put passport, ticket+reservations and some money in.

- I am usually travelling with my big backpack and a smaller backpack for my camera. I dont really secure the big one, since there is only clothes in it, but the camera bag I usually put between my feet or somewhere else close to me and put my feet through the straps so if someone would try to take it or something out of the bag I should feel it.
