Hey all, me and 3 friends are travelling to Paris on the 13th of July, we have everything sorted but have had major trouble finding a place to stay for that night, the other nights in paris we have found a campsite. The problem we have is that we arrive in paris at 21:00 at Gare Du Nord and will then need a place to stay for the night, we are on a limited budget and have not been to Paris before without a car, so we need any help we can in finding a hostel/campsite/hotel that has a late check-in service and is not too far from paris center (as we don't knwo much about the metro etc and can't spend money on taxi).

Please please help us, thanks in advance,

Ben x

Hi!

At which campsite do you stay?

Bois de Boulogne (where I stayed two times) has reception open till 2am, according to their website. If you need info on how to get there let me know.

Otherwise maybe look at hostelworld for cheap accomodation...there also lots of Accor or Formule 1 hotels at the motorway surrounding central Paris, which are cheap and easily accesible with metro.

If you are looking for places to stay in and around Paris then if you don't really want to camp and are having trouble finding a cheap hostel (which I know in Paris is very difficult indeed!) Then I would recommend checking out a holiday apartment or a chalet for your stay. Especially if there are a few of you then it can often be a more fun and flexible option. I did this quite a lot when I first went interrailing and we had parties every night and had an awesome time.

Hi.

I'm going to paris as well this summer and we have planned to use a bed and breakfast instead. This site is very useful and there is many cheap ones as well. Unfortunately you cannot stay only one night, but it might be cheaper to stay there two nights rather than going to a campsite. Then you also save the travel time in to Paris :)

Just one advice: book as far in advance as possible. July 13th is one day before July 14th, France's FĂȘte nationale. This means a large number of visitors will flock to Paris to attend the events of the next day...

You should check the hotel Maubeuge, it's located right next to the gare du Nord and it's cheap! Ask them for their ours for checking in after 9pm.
I think most hostels lock their door past a certain time, but hotels usually stay open.

Hey, I just use this open thread for my request:

- Are there campsites near the center of Paris? Or do you really have to travel something like half an hour to come to the city?

- Where do I find cheap apartments for 4 persons?

- Does anyone know the Formula1-Hostel? Is it possible to sleep in a 3-bed-room with 4 persons?

Best regards

Campsite: :arr: https://rail.cc/en/paris/campsite-bois-de-boulogne-paris/l874

Apparments: No idea :|

Formule 1: I dont think you can officially stay with 4 persons in one room.
