my sister and me are planning our eastern europe interrail tour for 22 days.
we would like to see slovenia (soca valley), romania (danube delta,..), croatia (plitvice lakes), bulgaria (varna,...) and finally istanbul :)
do you have suggestions for us (nice places, must sees,…)? And how could we connect those places we want to go to?

some more questions:
i thought about buying the IR pass for 22 days. but i heard that the train system in eastern europe isn't yet developed well, so i'm thinking about buying the 10 days travelling within 22 days because we can't use the train so often and buses or so instead. do you have any experiences with that?
i also read something about an balkan flexi pass. what's that exactly and where can i buy that?

Hi.
The 10 in 22 is always a good solution.
You can buy the Balkan Flexi Pass in Eastern Europe. Just search the forum, somewhere is a topic about it - as I only have information about InterRail.
But in General you can reach a lot of places in Eastern Europe by train.
About your destinations I can't give you details - I am currently traveling as well and don't have all my sheets and information here with me.

ah. i didn't see that you already answered me :)
poor man, you have to be always online while travelling. that we'll be my last questions ;)
you don't think, that 10 travelling days are to few for eastern europe? especially for going to istanbul?
and: do you know if i have to pay surchages for every train in eastern europe?
regards,

hi Do.
10 days will be enough for traveling between the cities. then stay there for two nights and continue... but you have to calculate it for your own. :)
surcharges:
- night trains: check the country topics: https://rail.cc/en/countries
- day trains: https://rail.cc/en/interrail-train-reservation
not a lot of supplements there!
Peter :)
