Hi
A friend and myself have both got Interrail passes separately - and are now thinking of going on a 10-day trip together. When it comes to reserving couchettes, will it be possible to reserve the same 'room' for both of us, or are these unallocated?
Thanks.

Hi!
Thats usually no problem at all - depends only on availability. When you make your reservations, both online or at the station, you will get two seats/couchettes/sleeper berths together, if you order two. :)
If you are not sure you can always ask at the counter and also check the seat/couchette numbers you get. Compartments are usually numbered x1 - x6, ie 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, other coaches in a similar way. So if seat numbers match (moreorless) you'll be fine.

Hmm thanks Flo.
I was looking at booking a reservation on the DB website, and even though I specified two couchettes, it only asked for one Interrail number (and gave me both at the reduced price). Is that still ok, or will I be hit with extra charges later for not having my friend's number on the e-ticket?

Hi!
No I cant think that will be a problem. On all reservations I made at the station there was never my InterRail-Pass number printed on them. So no worries about that. ;)
Have a nice trip

Thanks!
One final question - I do have a thread about this but nobody's answering; I'm travelling second class, sleeping on trains every night for 10 days. Kind of worried about showers; apparently several train stations don't have them?
Original topic is here: https://rail.cc/en/showers-at-train-stations/f4850 <- if you could answer that, I'd be very much obliged! (I'm asking because you should quite experienced in train-ing!)
