Hello, i am going on interrail next week, and i have heard that we can buy the ticket cheaper in Germany than in my own country Denmark.

But if you buy a interrail ticket in denmark, you cannot drive in trains in denmark, and i was thinking if the same thing is in germany, so if i buy it in germany i cannot travel with train for free in germany

Hoping for a quick answer:)'

Hi Jesper!

Ticket prices should be the same everywhere - a tiny difference between DK and DE could result from the exchange rate DKK > EURO.

As you are a Danish citizen you will always get a Danish InterRail pass - that means your country of residence which will be printed on the ticket is Denmark, whether you buy the pass in Denmark, Germany or elsewhere. So it doesnt matter where you buy it - you wont be able to travel in Denmark but you will be able to use Germany railways anyway.

Hope all's clear now - and maybe think about buying your pass online at [ux]https://rail.shop/interrail[/ux] in order to support the work here at the forum and website. Thank you. :)
