I'm going interrailing for the first time this August and I have planned my route as above. This involves going from:

Amsterdam - Bremen - Berlin - Munich - Vienna - Budapest - Zagreb - Rijeka - Island of Pag - Ljubjana - Italy

This is just my initial plan, as I'm guessing with interrailing your plans can change suddenly. I am looking to pre-book all my hostel stays on hostel world. Is there any hostel advice or general advice about the above cities I'm visiting? Ones you'd avoid or dedicate more time to? Travel between them? Anything you think a first timer should note, I'd be ever so grateful for the tips.

Cheers!

Concerning your trip.

Amsterdam - Bremen - Berlin - Munich - Vienna is all free of supplements using day trains.
Simply avoid the THALYS trains in the Netherlands.
