Hi interrailers!
We are a couple of young unexperienced students who are flying back home to Bolivia from Milan in August. However we want to have a last piece of fun by traveling around there and we purchased the global flexi pass (5 days within 10 days) but we are having trouble in finding the best route. We thought of using the travel days in night trains so we get to go long dintances while sleeping (and of course save money) and pay day trains if necessary. The time lenght of the trip might sound too little so well we are open to all suggestions. By the way we studied in Sweden so we don't know Italy either and we want to go around there too besides how can we get back to milan where we take our flight home?
thanks in advance and have fun in all your trips
cheers

Hi Marcelo and Lindsay!
I have to ask a few questions at the beginning:
- Did you spend at least six months in Europe, in order to be eligible for InterRail? I assume you got InterRails passes with Sweden as country of residence?
- Where do you want to start your trip? Sweden?
- And you want to end in Milano? Or do you want to get back to Sweden first and then to Milano to leave?
- Any preferences on where to go or what to do? Party, beach, culture, mountains, museums, sightseeing etc...? Any places you've already been to during your stay in Europe?

Hi flo!
Thank you so much for helping us out! :D here are the answers to your questions:
- yes I studied in Sweden for 4 years and Lindsay is here since december last year so we have Sweden as the country of residence so I think there are no problems there
- Well we got a very good deal on the flight tickets to Milano and then got the other ticket to Bolivia ten days later so we thought that starting our interrail trip in milano would save us a lot of energy and time to go around. However, we are also considering to cancel the flight to Milano and starting from Sweden (we know the interrail pass is not valid in the country of residence) going all the way down to Milano as the Final destination
- we don't want to go back to Sweden from Milano again since we pretty much visited the nordic and baltic countries and around.
- as for preferences, we would like to see the most famous places like Paris or Rome which are full of wonderful places but we also like nature and we would like to visit some beautiful parks or zoos. In general we just want to have a good time doing a bit of everything ;)
thank you very much for your feedback

Hi!
OK, thanks for answering the questions - just wanted to make sure that everything's right with the ticket and how you want to do your trip so that we can help you better. ;)
If you're starting from Sweden (where exactly), the Malmö - Berlin night train is quite a good option: https://rail.cc/en/berlin-night-express-sweden-berlin/f1186
Then you could continue with another night train to Paris: https://rail.cc/en/berlin-paris-train/f2545
From Paris, you could head down to the Cote d'Azur with TGV - maybe to Nice? Then you could continue along the Mediterranean Coast to Roma and finish in Milano.
Or maybe include the Petit Train Jaune on your way: https://rail.cc/en/petit-train-jaune-latour-de-carol/f1343 (Paris - Latour de Carol by night train, then with Petit Train Jaune down to Villefranche and on towards Nice).
Or go through Switzerland with one of the famous mountain railways? You see, there's plenty to do - I can just make some suggestions. ;)
To start your planning, here's a good link to read: https://rail.cc/en/first-interrail-tour/f3303
Hope that helps for now and if you need further info - no problem. :)
